“Globalization of the halal industry towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”
Calling out international and domestic students (bachelor and postgraduate) and other professions!
Large numbers of consumers of halal products globally can foster the potential for the development of the halal industry to supply consumer demand domestically and abroad. As part of islamic economis activities, halal industry has been developing globally and has a role in supporting the global goals or called SDGs. This situation certainly could make halal industry grow significantly even in a minority muslim muslim due to it offers the concept of goodness for consumption, so it has a guarantee that products and services produce the best quality. In response to this potential, the Faculty of Science and Technology will organize the 3rd International Summer Course 2024 to provide information and knowledge to domestic and international students as well as professionals to actively participate in effort to support global goals through the knowledge on halal industry. Encompassing six out of seventeen SDGs, namely zero hunger; good health and well-being; decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation, and infrastructure; sustainable cities and communities; and responsible consumption and production, the event arranges five compulsory modules that should be completed by the participants.
The modules include:
- Acculturation of halal product
- Global Halal Regulation
- The current trends of Halal Products (halal fashion, halal finance, electronic industry, halal tourism, halal cosmetics and drugs, halal food, halal lifestyle)
- Halal material analysis (food, fabric coloring agents)
- Global halal product supply
